Sarah Allsopp – MNCS Dip. PC, MHS, Dip. Hyp. CS
My Hypnotherapy training came in 2013, qualifying as a Hypnotherapist with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills with Distinction.
I am an accredited counsellor and a member of The National Counselling Society (NCS), specialising in working face-to-face with individuals. My qualifications include an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling and a L3 Award in Child Counselling. I am also DBS checked and have completed a one-day workshop for Play Therapy with Play Therapy United Kingdom (PTUK)
My experience encompasses a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, anger, bereavement and relationships. My approach is Person-Centred Therapy, sometimes I include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) if it’s helpful to you. This means the relationship between myself, as counsellor, and you is at the heart of the therapy.
I originally worked in the world of finance for 11 years until my interest in people drew me into a career in education for 14 years.
My interest in helping people to work through their difficulties began many years ago after gaining a Foundation Degree in Arts in Learning Support in 2005. I successfully used counselling skills to support young people and their families in managing and overcoming a multitude of difficulties influenced by learning and social issues. Empowering them to use their strengths to achieve and function more efficiently. This role taught me to listen carefully, be empathetic and non-judgmental.
My interest in Hypnotherapy began 8 years ago through my own self-development. During my training I developed a passionate curiosity regarding the impact low self-esteem often has on a person’s ability to function in life – specialising now in self-esteem and weight management. I have worked with a range of issues conquering all kinds of fears, anxieties and unhelpful behaviours and habits.

John Raisen – MHS, Dip. Hyp. CS
My training started in 2013, when I qualified as a Hypnotherapist with a Diploma in Hypnotherapy and Counselling Skills. Prior to that I spent 27 years running my own retail outlets and appreciate the pressures of business and the demands it brings. The shop floor was then swapped for the 10 years in the classroom working with 11 to 14 year-olds, with its contrasting needs and rewards.
I have always pursued continual personal development through both education (acquiring an OU degree along the way), and spirituality (which highlighted the benefits of meditation, mindfulness and relaxation).
Whilst studying for the hypnotherapy and counselling qualification, the practical work with clients, (and their feedback), proved how deep mental relaxation alone was greatly beneficial. The awareness of a therapeutic thread running through meditation, mindfulness and hypnotherapy encouraged me to offer this to others so I now focus solely on meditation and mindfulness while Sarah attends to the counselling and hypnotherapy needs of clients.
